Marketing · Google Business Profile

Get into the three spots on the map.

Search for a plumber near you and Google shows a map with three businesses pinned on it, often before a single website. Those three get called first. Your Business Profile decides whether you are one of them — and a profile that is half filled in, years out of date and sitting on unanswered reviews is not going to be. We fix the profile, build what ranks it, and count the calls it produces.

We will put your profile next to the ones that outrank you, on the call.

What it is for

For a local business, the map is the front page.

Google says it ranks local results on three things: relevance, distance and prominence. Distance you cannot change — the searcher is where they are. The other two are work. Relevance is whether your profile, and the site behind it, says clearly what you do and where. Prominence is how well known Google thinks you are: reviews, links, and mentions of your business across the web.

Most of what ranks a profile is unglamorous and ongoing. The right primary category. Services listed in the words customers use. Photos of real jobs, added as they happen. Reviews asked for after every job and answered every time. The same name, address and phone number everywhere your business is listed. None of it is clever. All of it has to keep happening.

It is also the channel that pays off soonest without an ad budget behind it. Organic search takes six months or more; a profile can start moving in two to four. For a business that serves a handful of towns, it is often the first channel we would run.

What we do

What the channel covers

Local search and your Business Profile are one channel. All of this comes with it.

The profile

  • Setup and verification help if the profile is new or lost
  • Primary and secondary categories chosen against the businesses that outrank you
  • Services, service areas, hours and description written properly
  • Photos and updates kept current
  • The profile linked to the right page on your site

Reviews

  • A simple way to ask every customer for a review, the same day
  • Every review answered — the bad ones especially
  • Never fake reviews, never paid reviews, never asking only the happy customers

Prominence

  • Citations built and cleaned up, so your details match everywhere
  • Local links from real local sources
  • Service-area pages on your site that back the profile up
  • Map ranking checked across the area you serve, not just from your address

How it runs

Two to four months to move. The first month does most of the fixing.

  1. 01

    Audit against the competition

Your profile next to the businesses that outrank you: categories, reviews, photos, citations, and the pages behind them.

  2. 02

    Fix the profile

Categories, services, areas, description, photos — everything that is wrong or missing, fixed in the first weeks.

  3. 03

    Build prominence

Review requests going out after every job, citations cleaned up, local links and service-area pages added.

  4. 04

    Track and keep going

Map ranking checked across your service area each month, calls from the profile counted, and the work that moves it kept up.

Fit

Who the Business Profile channel is for

Worth it when

  • Customers find you by searching for a service near them
  • You serve a defined area — a metro, a handful of towns
  • You finish jobs customers would review if someone asked
  • You want calls without paying for every click

Skip it when

  • You never meet customers in person. Google does not allow a profile for that
  • You sell nationally online with no local customers
  • You want to rank in towns you do not serve. Google is good at catching that
  • You want reviews bought or written for you. We will not do it

Google Business Profile: questions people actually ask

What is the map pack?

The block of local businesses with a map that Google shows for searches like "electrician near me" or "roofer in Knoxville". It usually sits above the ordinary results, so it is often the first thing a local searcher sees.

Can you get us more reviews?

We can make asking for them a habit — a simple request after every job, sent the same day. The reviews themselves come from your customers. We never buy, fake or filter them; that is how profiles get suspended.

Do we need an office in every town?

No. A service-area business can list the areas it serves without a storefront. What does not work is inventing addresses you do not have — that gets profiles removed.

How is this different from SEO?

The Business Profile ranks in the map results. SEO ranks your website in the ordinary results underneath. Different work, two separate channels, and for a business serving a few towns the map usually pays first.

Will you post to our Facebook page too?

Not as part of this channel. We keep the Business Profile current with photos and updates; posting to your Facebook and Instagram pages is organic social, which is its own channel.

Pricing
