Clinton is the seat of Anderson County, on the Clinch River north-west of Knoxville, with its own interstate exit and a historic downtown known for its antique stores. Norris and Norris Lake are a few miles up the road; Oak Ridge is a few miles down it; Knoxville is a straight run down Clinton Highway or I-75.
The housing is older on the whole — the neighbourhoods around downtown, mid-century streets on the hills above the river, and rural addresses spread out along the county roads. Add the lake properties toward Norris and the newer houses between here and Oak Ridge, and a trade here sees a lot of retrofit work, some seasonal lake work, and drive times that matter.
The name is the other thing. There is a Clinton in most states, and a bare "Clinton" search returns a great deal that is not a town in Tennessee. Should a Clinton business target Oak Ridge?
If you will drive there, yes, and with a real page. Oak Ridge is the larger market a few minutes away, and the two towns share a lot of the same retrofit work on the same age of house.
Is Clinton too small for paid ads?
On its own, at the minimum spend, usually. Clinton plus Oak Ridge plus the north side of Knox County is not. The campaign geography is the county and its neighbours; the page is the town.
